David Iain McDonald was born in Cornwall, Ontario. He spent his career in forestry working across Canada and the northeastern United States before teaching forestry at the Maritime College of Forest Technology in Fredericton, NB. Dave's teaching career at MCFT spanned 10 years, from 2003 to 2013, with another brief stint during the 2016-2017 academic year. An intelligent, passionate, wise, and caring instructor, Dave's teaching helped to shape the personal and professional journeys of many students throughout his career.
