Help us by Contributing to the next Issue of The Firetower

The MFRS–MCFT Alumni Association Inc. warmly invites you to become an active part of our alumni newsletter community. We welcome your stories, achievements, photos, reflections, news, and any other contributions for inclusion in future newsletters. Your experiences and perspectives not only inspire but also strengthen our alumni network—your voice truly matters. We also hope to engage alumni who are interested in contributing more regularly to The Firetower. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your expertise, stay connected, and support your fellow MFRS and MCFT alumni while helping to shape the ongoing story of our community.

We are looking for contributions towards the following Firetower sections:

• Alumni Making News: Recognizing alumni making news in the Maritimes or across Canada.

• Hither and Yon: Brief snippets of miscellaneous but relevant notes from here and there.

• Reflections: Alumni reflections on their time at MFRS, MCFT, or CTFM.

• In Memoriam: Recognizing alumni that have passed on. 

• Alumni Profiles: Spotlights a specific graduate, giving readers a more personal and in-depth look at who they are, what they’ve accomplished, and how their time at the institution shaped them.

• Class Notes: Brief personal or professional alumni milestones, achievements, or recognitions.

• Feature Stories: One significant story that is the main focus of a Firetower issue.

• Photos & Memories: A quick and more visual instead of text-heavy way of tapping into nostalgia.

• Hobby Corner: A fun and informal highlight of the personal interests, hobbies, and/or creative pursuits of alumni outside of their careers.

• Defining Moments: Alumni reflecting on specific moments during their time at the institution they remember vividly as important and formative.

• From the Field Book: Very short alumni-submitted tips, lessons, advice, or mistakes from the field. 

• Alumni 10 Questions: A lively, personality-driven feature that gives readers a quick, intimate glimpse into a graduate’s life, opinions, and experiences.
